INTRODUCTION

Woodblock New Year paintings, as an important component of China's intangible cultural heritage, carry profound folk culture and collective memory. The "Hua Sui Cheng Ji" exhibition is themed around the Chinese zodiac horse, aiming to showcase its dynamic inheritance and cultural regeneration in the contemporary context through the traditional art form of woodblock New Year paintings. The exhibition not only presents the essence of New Year painting art, but also explores its deep integration with contemporary aesthetics, educational dissemination, and social life, promoting the dynamic development of intangible cultural heritage from static protection.

Hua Sui brings good luck "symbolizes auspiciousness in the Year of the Horse, expressing people's longing for a better life. The exhibition uses woodblock New Year paintings as a medium to systematically present the rich connotations of the Chinese zodiac horse culture and the diverse possibilities of artistic expression, constructing a dialogue platform between tradition and modernity, art and life, inheritance and innovation. Through multi-dimensional linkage such as exhibition of works, academic discussions, and public education, we aim to stimulate the audience's understanding and emotional resonance of intangible cultural heritage, and enhance their confidence in national culture.

The exhibition is divided into four units, systematically categorizing and organizing all the works of this woodcut annual exhibition. From the classic reproduction of Fengxiang New Year paintings, to the contemporary exploration of nationwide collection of works, to the future prospects of children's creation and the aesthetic exploration in the linkage between exhibitions and cultural and creative industries.
