The "Beidahuang Printmaking" that emerged in the mid-20th century, represented by a generation of art masters such as Chao Mei, Zhang Zhenqi, and Du Hongnian, uses knives as pens and wood as media to fuse the magnificent journey of arduous entrepreneurship with the majestic atmosphere of the mountains and rivers of northern Xinjiang into an artistic classic with strong visual shock and spiritual appeal, and integrates into the spiritual bloodline of modern Chinese art, becoming a valuable tradition that inspires future learning and nourishes creativity. The "Engraving Era - The First Contemporary Printmaking Biennial Exhibition" is held here based on the profound printmaking tradition and historical context of Heilongjiang. This land has nurtured the pioneering spirit and artistic character of "Beidahuang Printmaking", providing rich spiritual nourishment and historical reference for contemporary printmaking creation.
