INTRODUCTION

As an observer and researcher of contemporary art education in China, Yunlang Contemporary Art Museum has always had a deep academic concern for the generation mechanism of Chinese art in the future, and is constantly iterating the exhibition process to find effective ways to bridge the gap between the academy and society. Based on this academic positioning, Yunlang Contemporary Art Museum has undertaken and participated in the planning of the "Intersection and Coexistence: The Symbiotic Narrative Exhibition of North South Art". This exhibition showcases nearly 60 works by teachers and students from Jilin University of Arts and Nanjing University of Arts. This is not only a promotion for young artists, but also a deep attempt to activate the urban humanistic ecology and practice the public aesthetic education function of art museums with the power of youth colleges. This exhibition marks the beginning of Yunlang Contemporary Art Museum's exploration of joint exhibitions across different regions, universities, media, and disciplines, and we look forward to transforming it into a sustainable exhibition project. The college system is not only a field for knowledge inheritance, but also a source of future art forms. As a guardian of future art, Yunlang Contemporary Art Museum is more willing to actively participate and become an explorer and promoter of contemporary Chinese art. This exhibition is divided into three sections: "Boundary and Extension", "Integration and Construction", and "Birth and Growth", constructing a progressive framework of "connecting by domain, sharing by diversity, and emerging by law", which deeply echoes the curatorial concept of "intersection and mutual growth". 'Intersection' refers to the encounter between the northern and southern regions, as well as the intertextuality of artistic concepts.
