The First Biennial Exhibition of Comics and Illustration Art in Zhejiang Province, sponsored by the Zhejiang Artists Association and co-organized by the Comics and Illustration Art Committee and Jiaxing Art Museum, is the inaugural exhibition of the Art Committee. Planning began in 2024 and has received substantial support from the Jiaxing Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, and Tourism, as well as the Jiaxing Culture and Art Publishing House. After six months of preparation, the Zhejiang Artists Association issued a call for submissions on February 11, 2025, receiving a total of 387 works from across the province. Following rigorous evaluation by the jury and comprehensive supervision by the supervisory committee, 286 works advanced to the re-evaluation stage, with 234 ultimately selected, including 50 academically nominated works. The First Biennial Exhibition of Comics and Illustration Art in Zhejiang Province aims to view art as a medium of energy, fostering energy resonance between the individual emotional expression of artists and public appreciation. This exhibition also aims to promote the spirit of Chinese aesthetics, facilitate the creative transformation and innovative development of excellent traditional Chinese culture, and establish an academic exchange platform for art enthusiasts.
