To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, celebrate the great achievements made since the founding of the People's Republic of China, praise the new era, and fully showcase the new achievements of Guangdong Province's art creation in the five years since the 13th National Art Exhibition, the "Guangdong Province Art Exhibition" was held from May 16th to May 31st at the Guangzhou Museum of Art (Guangzhou Art Museum). This exhibition is guided by the Propaganda Department of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, jointly organized by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Guangdong Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Propaganda Department of the Guangzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, and the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism. It is also hosted by the Guangdong Artists Association and the Guangzhou Museum of Art (Guangzhou Art Museum). The Guangdong Provincial Art Exhibition, held every five years, is the highest standard comprehensive art exhibition in Guangdong Province. Since the submission for this exhibition, it has received positive responses and enthusiastic submissions from a large number of art workers. According to the work schedule, preliminary and re evaluation review meetings for the "Guangdong Provincial Art Exhibition" were organized on April 18th and May 6th, respectively. The preliminary evaluation committee selected 1000 shortlisted works from over 6000 submissions. After re evaluation, more than 500 selected works covering Chinese painting, oil painting, printmaking, sculpture, watercolor and powder painting, lacquer painting, pottery, New Year's paintings, comics, comic books, illustrations, and comprehensive material painting were selected for exhibition, including 5 gold award works, 10 silver award works, 24 bronze award works, and 59 excellent award works.
