To achieve resource sharing and mutual development, the Institute of Deep-Sea Science and Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the China Academy of Art signed a framework agreement on science popularization cooperation in 2019, forming a long-term and comprehensive strategic partnership to jointly promote marine science popularization. Up to now, six "Art and Ocean" themed painting competitions have been successfully held. Joint activities such as the Excellent Art and Ocean Works Exhibition and the Meimei Lecture Hall Social Aesthetic Education Class have been planned and implemented during the Chinese Academy of Sciences' public open days. Teachers and students from the China Academy of Art have been organized to participate in the maiden voyages of the "Ketuan 2" and "Ketuan 3" research vessels, as well as scientific and artistic integration expeditions. Artists have accompanied the voyages to engage in artistic creation and exchanges. During the summer vacation, multiple "Diving and Dreaming" social practice teams were organized to carry out joint activities such as field visits, sketching theme creation, and supplementary design of science popularization spaces.
