INTRODUCTION

The "Print Art: Chinese Youth Printmaking Exhibition from an International Perspective" jointly organized by the China Printmaking Museum and the Printmaking Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts was exhibited at the Royal Dutch Painting Association Art Museum in The Hague, Netherlands. Professor Kong Liang, Director of the Printmaking Department at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and Professor Kang Jianfei, Exhibition Curator, delivered speeches on behalf of Chinese artists. Eduardus Antonius Van Der Kooij, Dutch painter and Chairman of the Royal Dutch Painting Association, delivered speeches on behalf of the Royal Dutch Painting Association Art Museum

This exhibition is themed "Print Art" and attempts to explore the boundaries of printmaking itself. A total of 19 outstanding young artists were invited, whose works are all related to "print". The young artists either used traditional printmaking techniques, attempted to touch the boundaries of printmaking, or even pulled printmaking from a two-dimensional plane into a three-dimensional space. This exhibition is an academic exhibition launched by the school with the characteristics of art school teaching in the international field. 90% of the participating artists graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and their works revolve around the boundaries of traditional printmaking, highlighting the desire to open up language limitations. It is not only a reflection of the transformation of printmaking teaching achievements, but also a new way for art school teaching to "go global"
