The opening ceremony of the exhibition of Gu Yiming Shui's printing plate paintings, titled 'Creating Scenery with Light', was officially launched at the Shunde Museum. The exhibition will showcase nearly 50 watermark print works by the author, which is a concentrated display of the author's latest watermark print works created in recent years. It includes three series of works: "Creating Scenery in the Shadow", "Exploring the Mysterious", and "Endless Realm", presenting a visual effect with strong Eastern traditional cultural connotations
Watermark printing originated from traditional Chinese woodblock printing, and its emergence and development are inseparable from the ancient Chinese literati's emphasis on ink painting and the historic invention of printing technology. This art form integrates painting, carving, and printing to complete the reproduction and widespread dissemination of calligraphy and painting. With the development of history, more and more artists are using traditional watermark prints as a means of artistic creation, constantly enriching the themes, forms, and techniques of watermark prints as an art form

He is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor in the Printmaking Department of Guangzhou Academy of Art.
