The Yangtze River is the mother river of the Chinese nation, nurturing the Chinese civilization that has lasted for thousands of years. Zhangjiagang, located at the end of the Yangtze River and the sea, has always taken it as its responsibility to protect, inherit, and promote the Yangtze River culture. It vigorously promotes the integration, sharing, and utilization of cultural resources in the Yangtze River Basin, demonstrating our high respect and responsibility for the inheritance of Yangtze River culture. The opening of the "Engraving Splendor" and "Yangtze River Spring Colors" exhibitions not only fully aligns with the theme of "Integration, Promotion, and Sharing" at this year's Yangtze River Culture Festival, but also pays tribute to Yangtze River culture with a unique artistic form. Among them, the exhibition "Engraving Splendor - Water Charm Jiangsu · Woodcut Prints of the Yangtze River" is exhibited at Zhangjiagang Art Museum, and the exhibition "Spring Colors of the Yangtze River" is exhibited at Yonglian Art Museum
The exhibition showcases the cultural and artistic feast of the Jiangsu section of the Yangtze River through watermark printmaking, a unique art form that reflects the continuity of Jiangsu's traditional cultural context. The exhibition is based on the collection and selection of "Water Charm Jiangsu · Yangtze River Hundred Scenic Spots" by the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism. In the Jiangsu section of the Yangtze River - Nanjing, Zhenjiang, Yangzhou, Taizhou, Changzhou, Wuxi, Suzhou, Nantong and other eight prefecture level cities, 100 characteristic landscapes reflecting four themes of natural ecology, historical culture, red inheritance and new era development were selected as the creative themes.
