Ordinary as I Am - The 2022-2023 Xu Qinsong Creation Award National Finals and Award Ceremony was held at the New Guangzhou Cultural Center. This event was guided by the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, and was hosted by the Guangzhou Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film, Television, Tourism, Guangdong Provincial Youth Development Foundation, and Guangdong Xu Qinsong Art Foundation. It was organized by Guangzhou Cultural Center and Guangdong South Shore Zhishang Art Museum. The Xu Qinsong Creation Award was established in 2009 at Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts by Xu Qinsong, the Deputy Director of the Calligraphy and Painting Office of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the Advisor of the China Artists Association, the Researcher of the China Art Research Institute, and the Doctoral Supervisor. It aims to provide a strong stepping stone for art graduates to enter professional fields and inspire young artists to persist in their creation. As an award with high academic standards, the Xu Qinsong Creation Award invites experts from the eight major art academies in China to conduct fair, transparent, and professional evaluations of the finalist works for the National Finals every year. The judges invited for the 2022-2023 Xu Qinsong Creation Award National Finals include: Zhang Zikang, Director of the Art Museum of Central Academy of Fine Arts; Kou Jianghui, Vice President of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts; Zhou Feng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Dean of Hubei Institute of Fine Arts; Cai Yonghua, Vice President of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts; Zhou Chongzhang, Professor of China Academy of Fine Arts; Zhang Jie, Vice President of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute; Liu Tianshu, Director of the Printmaking Department of the Painting Art College of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts; and Guo Zhigang, Professor of the Cross-Media Art Department of Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts.
