INTRODUCTION

From October 30 to December 12, 2021, the Sixth China Youth Printmaking Exhibition 2021 was exhibited in Meilun Art Museum located in the East Second Ring Road of Changsha, displaying 185 printmaking works created by National Youth printmakers

the project of China Youth Printmaking Exhibition is planned by China Printmaking Museum. It has been successfully held for six times since 2011. After years of efforts, it has become an important academic exchange platform for Chinese youth printmaking. 2021 coincides with the 10th anniversary of the China Youth Printmaking Exhibition. The exhibition was curated by Kang Jianfei, professor and curator of the Central Academy of fine arts. From nearly 3000 young artists' works received nationwide, 252 excellent works were finally selected and 185 were exhibited

this exhibition shows the style of batch after batch of outstanding cutting-edge printmakers, and reflects the artistry, academic and avant-garde of Chinese young artists. Xu Na's "green mountains and green waters" creates a beautiful window view for the audience. Through the window, there are many buildings such as Guangzhou tower, Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge and Shenzhen Ping An financial center. Tall trees grow freely on the green mountains between the buildings, and sailboats sail in the wind on the distant sea. Zhao Qian's "wings of angels" focuses on the anti epidemic heroes. On the warm feathers, you can vaguely see the figures of anti epidemic workers such as Zhong Nanshan. They either look resolute and are about to go to war; Or focus seriously and are rescuing patients. Yang Tao's "happy event" brought people into a lively wedding in the mountain village. The traces of time appeared on the houses stacked with large stones, and the corn stalks stacked in the corner brought the taste of harvest.
