Born in 1953, from Beijing. In 1974, when he worked in Yangquan, Shanxi Province, he created a large number of worker prints in the worker style, and many of his works were collected by the National Art Museum of China. He graduated from the Printmaking Department of Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1982. He used to be the art editor of People's Fine Arts Publishing House, and a teacher of New Year pictures and Lianhuanhua of Central Academy of Fine Arts. In 1986, he went to the Department of Plastic arts, the eighth college of the University of Paris in France to study and settled in Paris
